Atmosphere is released

Greetings on this 1st of August. A special shout out to those in CH-land for their special day.

Coincidentally upon this day I'd like to announce the publication of my thirteenth title, Atmosphere.
A bit of a departure in theme from my last novel, Two are Happy. Atmosphere dapples with Sci-Fi tropes, something like my first novel, Drift. It's fun returning to play around with thought experiments without getting bogged down by the shackles of technology, or the tedious correctness of history.

Let's see where this took us.

Karl has found himself a long way from the ruined world that bore him. As a young man, winning a transportation lottery seemed like a stroke of good fortune. The land of New Kilda promised to provide opportunity to raise himself and his family out of poverty of feudal society. The catch was he would have to leave his former life behind if he was to survive.

Scottish chieftains that ruled the Old World since the British defeat maintained their dominion upon the New World. An underground group of settlers hoped to overthrow these oppressors. Aiding them is the discovery that there had been earlier inhabitants on New Kilda, the Anasazi. Though the ancient ones had disappeared, the magick they left behind remains. Magick that Karl discovers he is particularly adept at channeling.
